The Testing Center provides proctored
testing services for students enrolled in the College's distance education courses.

Testing Tips for Students

Computer Tests:
Call 919-866-5615 to make an
appointment to take a test by computer. During peak testing periods,
seating is limited.

Traditional Tests:
No appointment is necessary. See schedule below.

Make-up Tests:
Call 919-866-5615 before you drive to the main campus to make sure
your test is available.

Present a valid student identification card,
driver’s license, or passport to receive your test.

Plan to arrive early so you can complete the
test before the Center closes. Most
instructors allow one or two hours to complete a test. Students who
arrive too late to complete a test during the Center's regular hours
of operation will be asked to return at another time or on another
day.

Do not wait until the last hour of the last day
to take a test. When you arrive, the Testing Center may be filled to
capacity.

Be prepared. Bring pencils (No. 2), pens, and
other items such as a calculator or reference materials that may be required or permitted by your
instructor.

Be aware of the passage of time while you are
taking a test. The proctor will not warn you when your time is
running short.

Do not bring children with you to the Testing
Center. Children may not wait unattended in the hallway or in any
other area of the College while you take a test.

Cell phone and iPod use is prohibited.
