Online Student Orientation
Blackboard is the delivery system for online
courses at Wake Tech. Follow the steps below to begin your orientation
to Blackboard.
NOTE: Students must wait until the first day of the semester to
login to online courses. Students registering after the semester
begins may experience a delay in access. Contact your instructor if you
are unable to enter Blackboard by the end of the first week of the
semester.

Complete the Online Student Orientation.
It contains instructions for using Blackboard.
Go to
the Wake Tech's Blackboard
login page, click on the login button, and
enter Blackboard with the following username and password:
Orientation
Username: student
Orientation
Password: online
Open the orientation by clicking on the Online Student Orientation link
that appears in the My Courses box on the right-hand side of
Blackboard's welcome page.
CAUTION: You will not find your online courses in the Orientation.
To enter your online courses, you must log out of the orientation
and then reenter Blackboard with your personal username and
password. Go to the
FAQs for username and password instructions.

To view the syllabus, schedule, or other
important information for your online class before class begins, follow the instructions for
course
preview.

Follow the
instructions for logging into
your
Blackboard
account.

If you encounter problems, contact your
instructor or
distance education support.

Visit the College's
Library online
to become familiar with the resources that are available on the Web.
